A Falcon in My Neighborhood

Last night, when returning from my evening walk, I looked up and there on the roof of my next door neighbor's house was a large magnificent bird that I'm guessing was a peregrine or prairie falcon (professional photo from free Internet site)

Wordless Wednesday- Oleta River State Park

 Oleta River State Park is in South Florida and offers camping, hiking, kayaking, bicycling for sport. There is also a lagoon type beach that is calm as a lake. It is located in North Miami and very close to the beach.

Last week when my older son and his family was visiting we hiked one day and kayaked another day. Here are some of our photos.

New York City Candy Sculptures and Hot Chocolate

The 22 degree temperatures didn't stop me from strolling around Manhattan the day before Thanksgiving. The change in temperature encouraged a lot of coffee and hot chocolate drinking by both the locals and the tourists. I noticed organic coffee shops springing up throughout Manhattan.

My 40 minute walk began at Penn Station, progressed towards Bryant Park on 42nd Street and eventually towards Central Park. Along the way to my son's appartment, I passed all the newly decorated store fronts all ready for the holidays!

His work is amazing! He does them all by hand!

NYC Bees

I was walking on 2nd Ave around 50th street in NYC and noticed an unusual display.

I saw a gazebo in a park with a 193 bees painted on gold panels placed on the Gazebo to make it look like bees swarming-

Spring is the most beautiful time of the year in Bucks County, Pa.
The weather is finally warmer, the flowers are budding everywhere, and people are out and abound.

I took some beautiful shots of the colorful flowers all around my neighborhood.

The Carole King Musical, Beautiful, was nothing short of beautifull.

I enjoyed every minute of the story, the songs, and the fabulous cast. 

It is a play worth seeing!

Nestled amidst the high-rise buildings and the hustle bustle of contemporary Fort Lauderdale - not far from the touristy area of Las Olas- stands the oldest historical property in Fort lauderdale. The Stranahan House is the only property that has not been wiped out by hurricanes- find out why??

We visited St Maarten . We were on the French side which has been repaired from much of the storm damage. The Dutch quarter was still devastated with roof's caved in and small airplanes turned over or crashed into walls- the effects of Irma were evident more so on the Dutch side.

I love the Art Deco Neighborhood in South Beach, Florida. We recently visited the National Hotel  at 1677 Collins Ave on the beach! The charming hotel boasted a lovely indoor  restaurant and an outdoor beach restaurant ( the Aqua Club) t that served any sandwich on a delicious gluten free roll (Aqua Club menu) I ate the grilled veggie sandwich and was not disappointed.

Wordless Wednesday- Broadway Anatasia

  Broadway Show Anastasia. 

November is a great time to go into NYC and see a show. 
I stood on the two fer line and got tickets for Anastasia, 
The acting, the singing, the dancing, and the music was outstanding! 
I enjoyed the show immensely!!
( No, not the children's show) 

      The play is based on Russian history and the murder of Czar Nicolas, his wife, and children. The story of Anastasia is based on a legend that one of the children actually survived, had amnesia, and discovers herself in Paris to start a new life! The music and singing was outstanding. LIsten to the Youtube I found.
