Wishing my readers who celebrate Passover a joyous holiday filled with the love of family and friends.
I'm already thinking about the upcoming holidays (Easter and Passover). I'm thinking about the indulgences and wondering why holiday food can't just be healthy food? Should it?

There are certain traditional holiday foods that instantly transport me back to my childhood, and charoset is one of them. Every year when I was young, as Passover approached, our kitchen would fill with the sweet aroma of apples and cinnamon as we prepared the ashkenazi ritualistic foods for the Passover Seder. My husband's family ate Sephardic charoset.
