USDA Guidelines Vs. Doctor's Guidlines

Tray, Breakfast, Muesli, Fruits, Bowls

The USDA guidelines for health and nutrition are updated every 5 years. I was browsing Youtube looking for an exercise video when this video popped up and caught my attention.

The video captures a doctor's speech addressing the USDA committee this year.
Her message is only 2 minutes long  but very powerful.

She is not the medical professional sending this new message. Many other doctors including cardiologists, diabetic doctors, endocrinologists, etc are stepping forward, writing books, and making videos to share similar views regarding many common American diseases.

These doctors are learning from their own medical practices, personal experience, and their patients that nutrition based medicine consistently may help prevent or cures many of the common American diseases that are destroying the quality of people's lives.

These doctors are saying if you keep eating the typical American diet, you will most likely need to take all the typical American pharmaceuticals just to survive.

This short Youtube video features Dr. Brooke Goldner and is a very powerful 2 and 1/2 minute long address to the USDA.

Take 2 minutes to watch it now and tell me what you think in the comments!

  1. Don’t know if I could go vegan. We have cut back on the amount of meat we eat for sure. Lots of veg in our diet!

  2. I watched it and I do think this helps a lot of people. But everyone is different and I need more protein than I can get in a plant based diet. This lady sure looks like a picture of health though!

  3. I’ve heard things like this before, but I could not go vegan. I just love cheeseburgers too much. That said, I do eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I particularly enjoy raw broccoli and cauliflower. I also love frozen grapes that are my “go to“ when I want something sweet. Pattie @ Olla-Podrida

  4. Well the Dr is right about eating plant based diet. We eat plant based diet 90% of the time but are not vegan. I don't think I could ever go vegan because I love dairy.

  6. I have been vegetarian and went back to a Mediterranean diet 30 years ago and have never felt better. I do not think there is one solution that fits all.

  7. Thanks for the video, Judee.

I had high cholesterol so last year I stopped eating meat and eggs. I eat fish once in a while and don’t drink cow milk. Within a month my cholesterol levels dropped significantly. I’m not a 100% vegetarian, but I feel so much better after changing my diet.
