The highlight of our New Year’s Eve celebration was an unforgettable fireworks display over Miami and surrounding areas. My husband and I chose to stay in and enjoy a quiet, cozy evening at home in our Florida condo—a perfect way to welcome the New Year.
With our pie shaped views of the ocean, Miami, and the Intracoastal, we had a front-row seat to fireworks bursting across a wide semicircle of nearby towns. Each community added its own sparkle to the night, creating a breathtaking panorama of color and light that was hard to capture with the camera.-I tried, but you kind of had to be there.
The beach fireworks immediately outside of our condo, delivered the most spectacular display that we were close enough to see—However, all of the fireworks across Miami reflected off the ocean and lit up the skyline, making it a moment we won’t soon forget.
While I snapped a few photos, they hardly do justice to how stunning the scene was in real life.
It was a great way to start 2026.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year. !!
What did you do to celebrate New Year's Eve?
Hi Judee and Happy New Year. Love your photos and account of how you spent your New Year. I went to sleep very early (9:30 PM) because I felt exhausted. Today I am bright and peppy. Wishing you and your readers a happy, healthy, and peaceful 2026 and sending love, Nancy Andres at Colors 4 Health.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful show! We watched the fireworks from London at 7 US time (very spectacular!) and just munched on appetizers and leftover Thai food. All good! Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteWhat a view! I absolutely love fireworks. The first year that I was in this house and there were a lot of empty lots, I was able to go out on the deck and see fireworks from four different fireworks displays in the area. These days because of all the houses and trees, I can see a few, I can certainly hear them, but nothing like your spectacular view. Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful view so I'm glad you stayed home to enjoy it. Have a very Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year...
ReplyDeleteHope, things much better for all of us...
A dinner with old friends, some of whom I haven't seen for quite a while. The food they prepared was luscious, ditto the chilled white wine and the masses of summer flowers.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Wishes ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hi Judee, what a lovely way to spend the new year. Wish we were there! We watched CNN Andy and Anderson bring in the new year at home in Haddonfield.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to welcome the new year! Fireworks are the best -- especially from the comfort of home. 🎇🎉
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year; what a view! All I got was woken up in the middle of the night from illegal fireworks next door!
ReplyDeleteYour condo is beautiful and perfectly located for great views. Fireworks over Miami are always fabulous and your photos are great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful fireworks display you saw on New Year's Eve. It must have been so pretty with the reflection on the water. 80 degrees in January? This girl loves her rain and snow in the winter, and I appreciate all the seasons.
