Free Vegetables Basket photo and picture

It's November which means we are now in our Florida kitchen for the winter. I'm participating in November's IN MY KITCHEN ( link)hosted by Sherry over at Sherry's Pickings.

My Florida kitchen is much smaller and completely different than my Pennsylvania kitchen.

I have some lovely pottery here that I really enjoy using for company.

It's a small (but not tiny) kitchen. It's large enough to prep and cook in, but it is not an eat-in kitchen . The countertops and backsplash are dark gray quartz, which I'm thinking about changing to a brighter white marble-type look with some gold streaks or designs (It will also be quartz).

We eat on the table outside of the kitchen where have a nice view of the ocean through the sliding glass doors in the attached bright open living room.

On the back wall of the kitchen which you could not see in the first photo, I have a low Ikea long cabinet with storage and a glass table top.

I was able to find some good tropical fruits in Florida. We love mango, papaya, and pomegranate.

We also have a large mirror that we hung on the wall because there are no windows in my kitchen and the mirror brings in some of the light from the living/dining room area which is bright and cheerful.

I've only been here about a week, so I haven't done a full grocery shopping or real cooking yet.

We've been eating a lot of salads and bean dishes and have had dinner invites at people's homes for two dinners this past week. And one for next week.

Of course I have a copy of my soups cookbook in my kitchen
which contains over 80 delicious and easy soup recipes arranged by season.
