The highlight of our New Year’s Eve celebration was an unforgettable fireworks display over Miami and surrounding areas. My husband and I chose to stay in and enjoy a quiet, cozy evening at home in our Florida condo—a perfect way to welcome the New Year.
Surprisingly, yesterday was the coldest days of the year in Miami starting out with a low of 46 degrees. At midnight it was around 50, quite cold for us Floridians!! Two days ago it was a hot and sunny 80 degrees, and I was swimming in the ocean!!
With our pie shaped views of the ocean, Miami, and the Intracoastal, we had a front-row seat to fireworks bursting across a wide semicircle of nearby towns. Each community added its own sparkle to the night, creating a breathtaking panorama of color and light that was hard to capture with the camera.-I tried, but you kind of had to be there.
The beach fireworks immediately outside of our condo, delivered the most spectacular display that we were close enough to see—However, all of the fireworks across Miami reflected off the ocean and lit up the skyline, making it a moment we won’t soon forget.
While I snapped a few photos, they hardly do justice to how stunning the scene was in real life.
It was a great way to start 2026.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year. !!
What did you do to celebrate New Year's Eve?
Hi Judee and Happy New Year. Love your photos and account of how you spent your New Year. I went to sleep very early (9:30 PM) because I felt exhausted. Today I am bright and peppy. Wishing you and your readers a happy, healthy, and peaceful 2026 and sending love, Nancy Andres at Colors 4 Health.
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful Judee. We stayed in, watched a movie and was not up anywhere near midnight. :) LOL. Wishing you and your family the very best for 2026.
