Have you been Boo-ed??
As they walked us to our car in their driveway to say good night, the kids started to scream with excitement,
"We've been BOO'd"!!!! what a great idea for safe Halloween fun!
Suddenly all four of them (the kids and mom and dad) started to run to the front of the house where a large Halloween sign sat on their lawn that said, Boo! Understanding what was happening, they ran to their front door to find a package with bags of Halloween goodies!
Is This New????
I don't know if this has been a phenomenon in previous years, but it seems to be a fun thing to do for Halloween this year during Covid when many neighborhoods will not be participating in Trick or Treating. Sometimes the BOO-ers are anonymous and sometimes they leave a name, but it's always done secretly without the family seeing them leave their goodies! They have been BOO-ed twice, so far, and have been very excited about it!
It seems that everyone finds innovative new ways to celebrate-even during Covid!!
Halloween Dip and Also on the same page a Thanksgiving Dip.
That is such a great idea! I think it is a new thing for these trying times. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree and it is so much fun for the kids to get the surprise!!
DeleteWow what pretty fall colors & decorations where you are! I love this pumpkin time of year. But I have not heard of this Boo'd phenomena you mention -- it sounds pretty fun. Bags of Goodies?! I'm in! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWhat cool fall pics. I love that veggie and dip creation. Your decorations are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteBeing Boo’d sounds like a fun way to enjoy Hallowe’en this year. I hadn’t heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteThat Halloween dip looks so cool! Halloween is also getting popular over here, esp. among the younger generation. Continue to enjoy the beautiful Fall, Judee.
ReplyDeleteLovely Halloween decoration, and great idea during this Covid situation. Kids are always excited for Halloween, so we have to find ways to celebrate trick or treating in a safe way. Thank you for this post. I'm so glad to connect with you, Judee!
ReplyDeleteCool autumn pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabulous fall photos. Your decorations are awesome!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, this hasn't caught on here yet. I'd best ask the grandkids, they will know.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a fun idea for Halloween, Judee! Halloween is getting bigger here in Australia too and although it's pretty safe, I am not quite sure yet what we'll be doing with the kids. This sounds like a great idea to try out - thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound so fun! I love all your fall photos too.
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of this either! Rather a fun idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/10/at-aquarium.html
I love all the fall things! I remember when one of my boys got "boo-ed" back in the day. I had never heard of such a thing, but it was so sweet.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I guess it's been around for a while, but I never heard about it and I was never booed! Maybe its reviving during Covid since many kids won't be trick or treating.
Deletewe were booed two years ago and once this year
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for replacing trick-or-treating: something intrinsically distanced!
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Oh what a fabulous idea! I too have never heard of this, but now I want to do this of the neighborhood kids!
ReplyDeleteA fun idea that has not arrived in our area, too far out into the Pacific? Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI love the Boo bags!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun idea! I am in love with that adorable dip too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I can understand why the kids would be excited about this!
